Our Ladys Hospice Harolds Cross

Our lady’s hospice harolds cross was founded in 1879 by Mary Aikenhead. Today it’s is a modern facility offering palliative care, care of the elderly, and respite services. For the new 36 bed extension the hospice were to focus heavily on making the facility as homely as possible whilst offering the latest technology to assist in patient well being.

Our Ladys Hospice

The combination of Schyns Q100 Medical Supply Units and Derungs Vanera Bedhead Lights provides a clean and discreet aesthetic in line with the design intent

In addition to palliative care the hospice also offers respite care and it’s here that the Schrack Seconet IP nurse call system has offered patients the ability to utilise all the facilities the system can offer even for those patients with severe disability.

For example through the integrate infra red receiver and the use of sip and puff devices we have enabled quadriplegic patients to use the following functionality

  • Nurse call
  • Television control
  • Radio control
  • Window blind control
  • Room lighting control

The hospice also made use of the nurse call IP infrastructure to transmit television and radio signals. We have also recently integrated a live stream from the onsite chapel to provide religious services on the television for this patients unable to attend in person.
